Aidan, based in Allstate NI's Derry office, has 25 years' experience working in the in the Software Engineering and Telecommunications industry, having spent the majority of his time in leadership positions.
Since graduating from Queen's University with B.Eng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Aidan has worked for a number of global organizations including NTL / Virgin Media, APiON, Ericsson, NEC (Australia) and Allstate. Throughout his career he has lived and worked in many global locations including Europe, North America, South America and Australia. Aidan holds a Senior Leadership role in the Allstate Business Line Enablement Technology group within Allstate Northern Ireland, whilst continuing his leadership role within Allstate Canada, where he holds the position of Director of Production Health.
Aidan is also a Director in the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce and is passionate about local initiatives which contribute to economic prosperity within both the NW regional economy and the wider NI economy. He regularly engages and maintain relationships with local public representatives from council, regional, national and European government as well as building and maintaining strong relationships within the wider NI business community. Recently Aidan has played a role within the Young Enterprise Northern Ireland organization which helped promote entrepreneurship and enterprise to the young people in the NW. In the past Aidan has also been a key contributor in the Entrepreneurship, Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness thematic group, in the creation of the Derry and Strabane District Council Community Plan.
Aidan who lives in Claudy, is married to Allison and have 4 young children, Anna, Catherine, Cormac and Cillian. When he is not leading global IT teams, Aidan enjoys spending time at his local martial arts club and is ranked 1st Dan blackbelt in Ju Jitsu within the World Ju Jitsu Federation.
